Industry focus

I have over 5+ years consultancy experience working across different industries; primarily within maritime, energy, and heavy industry. An additional 5 years experience come from working in-house within companies with focuses such as travel, urban transportation and publishing.

Digital Design

Digital transformation is an area where I have specialised over the last 5-6 years. This has focused particularly on designing for professional users in the B2B sector.

  • My core expertice is within user experience design, from defining a product's UX principles to detailed requirements and wireframes, through to UX QA on deployment. All the while ensuring a high quality and user-friendly products from concept to implementation and final finished product.

  • I have a track record of creating detail design for digital products; for web, mobile, android and iOS, and custom HMI applications. This includes experience working side-by-side with development teams, conducting agile training and developing and contributing to design systems for various organisations.

  • Conducting in-depth user, market and technical research ensures solutions are rooted in the core needs, requirements and limitations. My experience running user testing, from value proposition testing to early low-fi prototypes and in-depth usability testing ensures that concepts are validated and allow for greater contextual exploration throughout the design process.

Sustainable

Design

With a minor in Sustainable design from TU Delft and experience working with sustainable design from start-ups to large organisations such as Bosch Siemens, I have a passion for making a meaningful impact and an aim to create a positive change.

  • Our digital products also have a definable environmental footprint. I have approaches to define the current baseline and identify concrete initatives to reduce, eliminate, or compensate for those impacts.

  • Mapping value streams (from materials to energy, knowledge and data) helps to identify areas for different strategies to move organisations into a more circular and sustainable practice.

  • Using observational research and behavioural psychology, a product or services conceptual development can apply different interventions to adapt user behaviour to encourage positive sustainable impact.

Acting as the 'translator' between different groups of stakeholders, I've found that design thinking methods, creative facilitation techniques, and simplified visualisations can be invaluable to create a clear direction and develop common strategic goals.

  • Working co-operatively with co-design methods ensure that strategy and initatives are rooted in reality and are likely to be more succesful when there is clear ownership.

  • Creating visual content that condenses complex ideas and strategy into tangible and relatable images for group concensus and validation.
